Against The Law To Text & Drive

March 15, 2012

On Thursday, the ‘Text-n-Drive’ law went into effect which made texting while driving an offense.  If an officer believes you are using your cell phone, you can be pulled over and issued a ticket and $50.00 fine.  This law bans all electronic devices from being used with a few exceptions such as GPS or bluetooth that is integrated into your car.  To ensure the law is effective, police have the right, under suspicion, to obtain cellphone records to prove when and if you were texting while driving.
